Autry Technology Center, Enid Oklahoma

MRI Training is an eight-month program covering physics, anatomy, patient care and safety procedures for performing an MRI, structured in an independent self-study format. A minimum of 600 clinical hours (20 hours/week) will be provided with an experienced MRI Technologist. Clinical objectives meet year 2000 American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) MRI examination requirements. Minimum requirements: ARRT Registered Radiographer, Nuclear Medicine or Radiation Therapy Technologist

El Centro College, Dallas, Texas

El Centro College offers a 2 semester course in MRI.  Students will complete 20 hours per week of clinical time in various clinical settings, along with weekly didactic courses.  Program is open to Registered Radiographers (ARRT).  Upon successful completion, students are eligible to sit for the ARRT advanced level exam in MRI.  Contact Gretchen Riehl at 214-860-2236 for more information, or email: gkr5547@dcccd.edu

Hutchinson Community College, Hutchinson Kansas

Hutchinson Community College offers a 9 month training program in MR which begins in the Fall semester. The program includes both didactic and clinical education and is open to registered or registry eligible technologists. Upon successful completion of the program, graduates are eligible to sit for the national registry examination.

Medical Imaging Sciences Program  SUNY Upstate Medical University, 
Syracuse, NY

The Medical Imaging Sciences program offers a 6 semester B.S. degree in Medical Radiography plus Computed Tomography (C.T.) or Magnetic Resonance Imaging (M.R.I). The program is delivered in 21 to 24 months of highly intensive classroom and clinical education. A twelve month Bachelor of Professional Studies degree allows graduates from radiography programs who possess an Associates degree the opportunity to pursue their education in either Computed Tomography (CT) or Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI).

The Department of Radiology at Michigan State University offers a 9 month educational opportunity in Magnetic Resonance Imaging.  The program is designed for registered radiographers with a desire to complete a comprehensive study of MRI.
